A Day at Sea
We went to have breakfast in the dining room. Colin tried french toast and loved it. In true Tatum form, she had only bacon! After breakfast, Dennis headed up to the spa for a massage while the kids went to the Adventure Ocean Club. They were having all aboard for trains day. Talk about fun!
After lunch, Dennis took the kids up to the pool while I made my way to a bamboo massage at the spa. It was wonderful! We took a little break and hung out on the balcony. We read our books and enjoyed a few cookies. It was formal night and everyone got dressed up for the occasion. Even Tatum wore a "long shirt" to dinner. He he:)
The kids went back to the kids' club and had a superhero walk around the promenade deck complete with homemade capes. We found an elephant made out of towels in our room. I just loved finding those animals every night! The kids crashed again, leaving Dennis and I some time to sit outside and have some coffee. Talk about relaxing:)

On Our Way to the Cruise
We left the house at 8:30 and started on our way to New Jersey. We stopped for a bathroom break and a snack before getting stuck in some nasty traffic in New York. When we got to the port, Dennis parked the car and we waited to get on board. The embarkation process was easy and we were soon on board. Our room was on the 7Th floor at the back of the boat. It was beautiful! Much larger than any room we have had before and the balcony was great:)
We went up to the top deck and walked around a bit. Music started playing and the kids danced around. We found some chairs and sat to watch the boat leave port. We saw New York City from distance and also the 9/11 memorial. Dinner was fabulous and our waiters were great. Siddhartha and Darryl were from India. We ended up being the only people at the table all week. Boy, did we eat too much.
After dinner, we signed the kids up for the Adventure Ocean Club and went back to the room. The kids crashed so fast! Den and I had some time to sit out on the balcony and enjoy some coffee.
It was a wonderful first day of vacation

Where Has the Time Gone???
Oh boy, I have been a bad blogger this summer! It was just that we were so busy and then I was just so tired at the end of each day. Let's see, this summer we went bowling and mini golfing a lot:) We went down to Newport and spent the day together. We went to our favorite restaurant and watched some boats. My mom and I took the kids to Six Flags and had a great day! The kids got to go to Wiggles World and Thomas Town. We spent the whole day there and will definitely go back next year! Den and I took the kids to Lake Compounce. It was a chilly day, so we didn't do the water park, but still had a blast! Colin and Tatum went on some rides all by themselves. Tatum loved the roller coaster:) Colin, not so much:) We also went down to the aquarium to meet our friends Kelly and Jeff that we met in China. It was so nice to see them again and the kids really seemed to enjoy the play date. Colin turned 5 in August! I can't believe it:)
School started last week and we are settling into a nice schedule with that. Colin is loving doing more...especially the math and reading parts. Tatum likes being a big girl and doing more things like Colin...especially papers to put on the fridge:0 I so love being able to teach them! In a little bit, we are heading outside for some science experiments with wind. Such a great day for it too!
I promise to do a better job as the seasons begin to change. On Saturday, we leave for our cruise to Bermuda. We can't wait!!!!!
