Strawberry Picking

Yesterday, Colin and I went strawberry picking for the first time. I was a little worried, but he loved it! We took a tractor ride to the fields with our friends from next door. Colin started out by shoving a whole strawberry into his mouth! He helped me pick the strawberies and enjoyed tossing them into the basket. Of course, we had some half eaten ones and some pretty white ones too! It was great and we can't wait until the raspberries are in season. Next time, I'll have both kids to help me pick! Now I have to figure out what to do with all of these strawberries!

On another note, we leave a week from today! Tatum's room is almost done and the packing is moving along. We can't wait to meet our little girl! Every time Colin sees a baby, he says "Ta?" I think he's pretty excited too!

Dear Debbi,

My name is Melinda. I saw the link to your blog on the Yahoo cleft group, where you asked if anyone had worked with Dr. Meara at Children's Boston. I sent you a response through the Yahoo group but I'm not sure if it worked, so I'm leaving a comment for you here too. We came home from China about a year ago with our son, who had an unrepaired bilateral cleft lip and palate. Dr. Meara repaired both, and he is fantastic. Our whole experience with him has been great. Good luck with your trip to China to bring your daughter home. If there is any way I can be helpful to you, either before or after your trip, please let me know. My email is melinda.ajemian@comcast.net.
Best wishes,
Melinda Ajemian
