Strawberry Picking
Yesterday, Colin and I went strawberry picking for the first time. I was a little worried, but he loved it! We took a tractor ride to the fields with our friends from next door. Colin started out by shoving a whole strawberry into his mouth! He helped me pick the strawberies and enjoyed tossing them into the basket. Of course, we had some half eaten ones and some pretty white ones too! It was great and we can't wait until the raspberries are in season. Next time, I'll have both kids to help me pick! Now I have to figure out what to do with all of these strawberries!
On another note, we leave a week from today! Tatum's room is almost done and the packing is moving along. We can't wait to meet our little girl! Every time Colin sees a baby, he says "Ta?" I think he's pretty excited too!

Consulate Appointment!
We have received our consulate appointment for July 16th! That means that we leave on July 4th. We will land in Hong Kong on July 5th, stay overnight and fly into Nanchang on the 6th. We meet Tatum on the 7th! That is the 16th anniversary of Dennis and I meeting. Pretty cool! We are going to come home on the 19th after spending a day in Hong Kong Disney with the kids.
Seven flights in 11 days. I hope Colin likes planes! I hope Tatum does too! I better make sure I have enough toys packed. (and maybe some earplugs for those sitting around us!)
Now to start packing and finish up our little girl's room! We're so excited to be so close!

One Step Closer!
I heard a knock at the door today and when I answered it, no one was there. However, the FedEx man had left an envelope on the step. It was our visas! Our passports look so cool with their little visas in them. Colin just kept looking at me like he thought I was crazy to be so excited about an envelope with stuff in it!
On Saturday, I have my dance recital. Colin is going to come to the rehearsal with me in the morning. (He loves hanging out with the girls!) Dennis is going to Babies R Us with Rich to pick up the changing table for Tatum's room. He also has to paint the letters for her wall.
I need to start packing! We'll be on a plane in no time at all!

We have an update!
We have received an update on little Tootsie! She is 30 1/2 inches tall, weighing in at 24 lbs. That may sound like she's a solid girl for 16 months, especially with a cleft palate. However, our son had those measurements at 9 months! Everyone is small compared to him. At 2 1/2 years old, he is 39 lbs and 40 inches tall!
She loves being outside and playing with other kids. She hates to be alone, be told no, and worms! Sounds like she will fit right in. Colin is not fond of being told no either!
We also received some pictures from cyber friends Kelly and Angela! We are so blessed to have these to hold until she is in our arms. We need to get a smile on that little face.

And the Winner Is...
The winner of the Ipod Touch is David Babits of Cranston, Rhode Island!
We want to thank everyone for their support of our fundraiser. We are blessed to have so many good friends, both that we have met and have yet to meet!
It's a great feeling to know that Tatum is so loved already. We can't wait to bring her home!
